bust of Miriam "Ma" Ferguson (June 13, 1875 – June 25, 1961) who was the first female Governor of Texas in 1925. She held office until 1927, later winning another term in 1932-1935. The bust can be found in the first floor rotunda.
This is actually the likeness of Miriam A. Ferguson. She was Texas governor both from 1925-1927 and 1933-1935.
