Some may ask how this falls into tips for frugality. It's simple really. Take care of yourself and you won't have the expensive doctor visits.
- Eat right.
- Get enough sleep.
Your body needs a good 6-8 hours of sleep. More importantly is what health care providers call REM sleep. REM sleep is your nervous system’s way of healing and refueling your body. Also, if you’re feeling overly sluggish, take a short nap or sit and rest. Chronic sleep and sluggishness problems should be reported to your health care provider. - Exercise.
- Brush your teeth.
If you regularly brush (and floss) your teeth you will help keep the dentist away. At least the expensive drilling and filling of cavities. - Exercise.
Exercise is known to help you live a longer and healthier life. The body needs to stay in action and movement. Move it, or lose it! This includes mental as well as physical exercise. As a healthy physical body includes a sound and sharp mind. Keep challenging your mind to expand, grow, learn, experience, decipher, and explore. Use it, or lose it! - Think Positive.
As Norman Vincent Peale used to say, "Power of Positive Thinking." What you put out does come back. So if you want to feel and look great, monitor your thoughts closely to ensure that you are thinking only positive, forwarding thoughts. If you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, simply turn it around into a positive thought. It does work. Not over night mind you, but positive thoughts do help improve your life. - Spiritual health.
Your spiritual health is important to. Improving your spiritual health may not cure an illness, but it may help you feel better, prevent some health problems and help you cope with illness, stress or death. Be sure to spend God everyday in prayer and daily Bible meditation. When I say prayer I don't mean with your laundry list of things you want. I mean a deep passionate prayer of interceding for others needs and desires.
