March 2007 Budget
Well, late last month I finally learned I didn't get the consolidation loan because a grant program. It is a complicated matter, but basically I had some home improvements done when I bought the place using federal dollars. A portion of that would be forgiven each year up to 10 years. After 10 years if I ever move out or sell my home I would owe the city (who administered the HUD funds) the remaining 20%. I have been here 8 years this year and so the finance company said they would not be helping me, because they would have to to pay off about $9,000 of that grant in order to get a clear title.
So I am back to paying off my debts individually. Oh, and I am suppose to get a pay raise this month. When? I don't know. How much? Not sure, except that it will probably be 25-50 cents per hour. I am hopeful, that it will be this Thursday, but we shall see. On a good note, this is a 5 paycheck month.
Well, anyway, here is my proposed budget for March, based on my expected income, from work. It does not include rent from my roommate nor the expected dividend check from Peoples Telecom that should come between now and the 15th. Both of which will go into my emergency fund. Well except the portion, I pay to my tax preparer after I get the paper work from Peoples Telecom.
