Governmental Appointment
On Nov 13, 2007 the Mayor of Topeka (Bill Bunten) submitted my name to the Shawnee County Commission for the Solid Waste Management Committee (SMWC).
Today, I received word that yesterday (11/26/07) the Shawnee County Commission approved my appointment of a 3-year term on the board. SWMC generally meets once a month.

congratulations Kevin, what type of work will you be doing?
ReplyDeleteI am not completely sure, what exactly they do, but I will be attending the meetings once a month. Seeing as they are my county owned trash service, I am sure I will have some say into what is charged for trash service, among other things.
