So much has been happenining this week. First we have been doing an online fund raiser to help a family in Colorado who are about to be homeless without the funds to pay back rent on their home. Avalon Dewitt has been a friend of ours for over a year and we also interviewed her on our JMC LIVE. She her husband and their little girl are in desperate need of help to stay in their home. So far we have raised over $800.00 in just 2 days. Plus many people in the Colorado community where Avalon and her family live have come out and helped them raise funds as well as many of her online community of friends. They need to raise $2,000 to pay the back rent, late fees and also court costs if you feel led to help this family go to our website at www.jmcministries.webs.com and click the donate button. The need is so great and we are just 2 little people trying to help one person or family at a time but our hearts break and we have shed many tears wishing there were more that JMC Ministries could do to help so many who are struggling just to survive in todays recession or as we call it depression. We must continue to pray for America and our fellow men and women who are struggling. May God bless them and keep them. Last weeks JMC LIVE show on January 21, 2011 is available for listening and dowloading at our podcast site at www.jmclive.podomatic.com we discussed MTV's New show "Skins" and the fact that it has many people outraged due to the fact the show is promoting sex, drugs, alcohol and using under aged actors to do this. Some are calling it child porn. We also discussed how 1 Oakland California 2nd grade teacher allowed a boy and girl student to perform sexual acts on each other in front of the entire class. The Church needs to wake up and start realizing that our children are the future of the church and the fact that many teens and young adults want nothing to do with the church any longer. Without the support of the younger generation there will be no future for the Church!
Through all of this amazing ministry work Miranda has been fighting another bout with her medical condition with STAPH. after 4 months of no outbreak of STAPH sores Miranda has had another outbreak and is now on her 7th round of antibiotics in just over a year. As we have stated before the doctors have no cure for Miranda other than to keep putting her on strong antibiotics to fight the STAPH. We just keep praying that God will work a miracle to stop these sores from coming back. So for the past 2 weeks Miranda has been in bed most days due to the fact the antibiotics make her weak and tired. We ask you continue to pray for Miranda and that she and I will not be disheartened and continue to lean on God's strength for guidence and direction with Miranda's medical conditions.
I started my winter semester in College at the beginning of this month and this so far has been the hardest semester of College. Math and Accounting is really giving me a hard time, but I am lucky to have great friends and family who have been helping me and tutoring me and I am really leaning on God and his all knowing wisdom that he will give me the grace and wisdom to be able to study the content and understand it so that I may pass this semester and continue on my journey.
